Well Guys it has been run and done!
I think everybody had a good time and with no accidents or incidents I think we can call it a successful day!
A few misty showers didn’t bother us to much but it was a little cold, not that it dampened the enthusiasm.
We had a lot of help from Lyn and Ross Oxwell and Robyn Larkin from the VSCC. A tower of strength came from CAMS Dave Walker and of course V8 drive Days Grant Johnson.
We owe all of these people a great vote of thanks, without them we would have been in deep S….. It has been a very steep learning curve and we are at least off the ground.
Also big thanks to our own members who helped in various ways and made the whole thing work. I have to say “Bradtke” did an enormous job both with the paper work and the running around …great job mate! You can if you wish express your personal thanks by giving him a big kiss next time you see him………………..!!!
As you can imagine the results were pretty close. New members Paul and Geoff Weir won the day …the timing sheets say Paul won but the numbers may have been mixed up, suffice to say the “Weir” family won.
Apart from first, second and third we had awards for first 4cyl 6cyl and 8cyl vehicles. But as it happened all the fast cars were 4 cylinder so we awarded the first 4cyl. To 4th place. The only 6cyl broke a throttle cable and did not start and the only V8 was Grant Johnson.
Grant obviously added a lot of colour and noise which helped make the day but he was a long way from the fastest.
Below are the fastest times for the day which is how we figured who won but bear in mind there were penalty’s applied for cone infringements, wrong way infringements and so on.
- Paul Weir …………30.248 .seconds
- Peter Mace ………..30.358….

Hi Guys,
The SCBC/VSCC Mundikhana is very close …like next Sunday!!!
We have about 30 entries which is heaps for our first venture. Apart from those entered we desperately need about 8 extra people to act in various minor rolls. Rad Dickerson is heading up this list so PLEASE lend us your legs!
The whole thing is relatively low key so things won’t be too busy. Please let me know if you can help out… Robbie Rhoads is on scrutineering and for instance we will need Marshalls to feed the cars in for inspection but once that is done that job finishes.
From an organizational point of view you would think we are running a Grand Prix!
Hope you can help
Charlie.
Hi Guys
Have been off the radar for a few days. “Congratulations” to the troops at Northam we won best club display, quite something!
Les, Peter, Geoff and Craig impressed on track and I am sure they had a lot of fun.. I got a lot of good feed back on our cars from several people… Well Done!
Don’t forget Mundaring on the Sunday 21st we need everybody there!
Regards,
Charlie.
Whilst tidying up the +2000 spam users registered against the site, I stuffed up and have deleted the subscriptions of some real people.
If you are a real person please register again.
To slow the spam users I’ve implemented a few things in the user registration, that if you are human being you should be able to work out easily enough. Let me know though if you run in to any dramas.
