Monthly eeting Report for June 3, 2010.

June 9th, 2010

Hi Folks,

Bloody cold evening for our meeting Thursday last . Quite a small group of 28 members and visitors.  With a long weekend approaching there were a number of people who had all ready departed for the break.  The highlight of the evening was John Howard s great new Clubbie in bright red , John reports no hassle with either the engineer or the powers that in getting it through licence .

John created all his body parts from scratch so there is no other car like his!  An absolute credit to him.

Greg Obrien reports that there is a 4.4 crown wheel and pinion available to suit an escort diff , second hand but in good condition $200.00 if any one is interested drop me an e/mail.

CYA

Regards Charlie

Brake Design

To give credit where credit is due the author of the spreadsheet Mike Polan.  I hope he does not object to the worksheet being hosted here, I’ve tried to contact him for permission but as yet have not received a reply.

If anyone knows that he would object to this then please let me know and I will take it down.

Monthly Meeting Report for May 6, 2010

May 11th, 2010

Hi Guys,

34 members and visitors attended the meeting Thursday last and a good night was had by all…

Thanks to Bruce Varcoe {who could not attend unfortunately} we received the latest blurb on exhaust emissions and at last good news!

It appears we now only have to comply with ADR 37/01………..Attached (ApplicationToBuildAnICV) is the ruling and note it is dated March 2010 .

So if you are using an engine which came into Australia from 1999 onwards and you use the same 02 sensor / cat/ computer / you will comply.

IT MAY BE  that if you can demonstrate that an earlier engine complys you could also get that through.  Bear in mind ADR 37/01 has changed slightley since 1997.

At any rate this now takes the bogey man of our shoulders and made compliance easier and possible .

Some one at the meeting needed some bits, I cant remember who!  Anyway email me a list and I will circulate, if you need something or have bits to sell email me and I will circulate also.

All for now,

Charlie.

News Group Signatures.

September 22nd, 2009

Hi All,

I know a number of memebers subscribe to news groups such as:

http://www.oz-clubbies.com

and

http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk

If you do could you add a link to this site in your signature?
This will help us promote the club by making people aware of the website.

To do this in the signature setting for each website you would add some text for the link, below are a couple of examples that you can use:

For oz-clubbies: Sports Car Builders WA

For locostbuilders: Sports Car Builders WA
